VISIT 

A selection from the Australian Racing Museum collection is on display at the Australian Sports Museum located at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. This Museum is a one stop shop for celebrating sport in Australia. The Horse Racing Gallery sits proudly alongside other key sports including AFL, Cricket, Olympics, Sport Australia Hall of Fame as well as Game On! an interactive games area for visitors.  

The Horse Racing Gallery celebrates the incredible horses and people within Australian Racing. From the grass roots, through to the icons who have been honoured with induction to the Australian Racing Hall of Fame, they’re all here. 

The most recent installation is a temporary display to promote the breadth of racing in Australia, focusing on country racing. The display looks at the diversity of racing across Australia and its importance to local communities. Each state and territory is represented from King Island to Kalgoorlie.
